I haven't written in a while cause I've been pretty busy.
This summer, I got to go the the Walker and Black family reunion. I'm glad I got to see all my cousins and all my aunts and uncles. I was especially glad to see my grandparents, whom I hadn't seen in around 2-3 years, and their dog, Jake.
We had to travel through 14 states to get to Utah, to Arizona and back. On our first day, we had breakfast in Illinois, lunch in Nebraska, and dinner in Wyoming. Then we got to Utah, where we stayed with a friend whose dog we were looking after. Later, we toured around through Temple Square with the Skabelunds, my mom's sister's family, then headed to stay for the night at my Great Grandpa Walker's. The next day, the Skabelunds took us to the Lagoon. I was really grateful for that, seeing how I had only so far ridden 3 roller coasters. My brother and I had a blast! Then we went to BYU to tour it for Jessica. Then we met up with my Uncle Trevor and Aunt Lindsey and stayed with them for the remainder of the day. The next day, we had the Walker lunch. I couldn't believe how many cousins I had! We had the reunions for the rest of the week, and left Utah on the following Monday. We traveled to Las Vegas and looked at all the places, then headed to the Skabelunds place, where we got to see grandma and grandpa Black. We stayed there until Wed. and headed home.
Most of the journey home, I got to sit shotgun. We traveled through New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and finally came home to our Eagleville, TN.
I was glad for the experience. I have to admit, I miss the Utah ice cream. I was surprised at how big the cones were! I'll miss those who I left behind, including Ella, the dog we gave back to the owner.
Can't wait till the next family reunion comes around!
